Running Facebook, Instagram and TikTok ads across twelve country storefronts
Dormeo Home sells in twelve markets: Slovenia, Croatia, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland. Not one site with a language dropdown — twelve separate storefronts, each built for a single market in a single language.
Most of the demand for those storefronts is bought. Video and static ads on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, tested and iterated by an internal performance team the way any paid social operation runs. Which means the constraint is not the media budget. It is how fast a winning creative can exist in ten languages.
That creative comes from a few places. Some is produced centrally — product films, campaign shoots, static sets built around one layout. In several markets it comes from local influencers, which produces the strongest-performing video in the account and the least reusable. One person, one language, booked for one market. The obvious move when it wins — reshoot it locally — means a new fee, a new schedule and a new edit for every market. So it does not happen, and the smaller markets run whatever is left over.
Lipsync dubbing: one winning creative, every market
The speaker stays in frame. The pacing, the delivery, the edit — all of it survives. Only the language changes, and the mouth moves with it, so nothing about the video signals that it was made for somewhere else.
That is the whole shift. A creative that used to be a single-market asset becomes a ten-market asset the day it proves itself, with no second booking and no reshoot. The ad that wins in Zagreb reaches Riga inside the same promotional window, not after it has closed.
Trademarked product names stay intact
Octaspring® and Ecocell® are what a Dormeo mattress is sold on. They are registered names for specific engineering, and a customer who hears one in an ad will search for that exact word. Alongside them sit Dormeo iMemory S+ Silver, Dormeo DNA Lux, Dormeo Fresh Prima Silver, Memosan Ultimo Roll Up, Orthocell™, CleanEffect® and the Mlily range. None of them can be translated. Left alone, a converter turns half of them into plain nouns.
A glossary locks the full set, so the marks come out identical from Slovenian into Latvian into Croatian while everything around them localises properly. The category headings show it: Vzmetnice in ležišča Octaspring® in Slovenia, Octaspring® pěnové matrace in Czechia, Madraci s Octaspring® pjenom in Croatia. Different sentences, same mark, every time.
There used to be a choice about which markets got a campaign properly and which got a compromise. That choice no longer comes up.
Static ads carry most of the volume
Video is only part of what Dormeo localises. Much of the paid social volume sits in static creative, and it is harder than it looks: a translated line has to fit a layout designed around the English one.

The headline shows the problem. In English the product name leads: MEMOSAN ANATOMIC 3 LAYER PILLOW. Slovenian does not build a phrase that way, so it becomes 3-SLOJNI ANATOMSKI VZGLAVNIK DORMEO MEMOSAN — description first, name last. It still has to fill the same two lines in the same space.
The feature labels repeat that five more times, each one sitting on a leader line whose length is set by the design rather than the language. Breathable construction becomes zračna zasnova. Washable cover at 60°C becomes pralna prevleka pri 60 °C — note the space before the degree symbol, which Slovenian typography requires and English does not. Through all of it, Memosan does not move.
Scaling paid social to ten languages without scaling the creative team
More than 600 videos and static creatives have been localised into ten languages: Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian and Ukrainian. Ukrainian is the interesting one — it is not one of the twelve storefronts.
The deeper change is in how the work runs. Localisation used to be twelve local decisions. Now it is one. Marketing approves the concept and the translated copy, and the market versions follow. No country needs its own brief, its own booking and its own budget line — which means the smallest markets test the same winning creative as the largest ones, on the same schedule.
If you sell in more than one language, you are already paying for localisation — in influencer fees, agency retainers, or the hidden tax of running English-only ads. GeckoDub translates video and static creative so it lands as native in every market you sell in.
