What Are the Custom Glossary and Brand Kit?

The Custom Glossary and Brand Kit are GeckoDub's consistency layer: you save your terminology and subtitle styling once, and every future translation follows those rules automatically, in all 70+ languages. The glossary governs the words; the Brand Kit governs how the result looks.

Custom Glossary

The glossary protects the terms you can't let a translation model reinterpret — product names, taglines and brand vocabulary stay exactly as you wrote them. Two controls do the work:

• Don't Translate list — words that must pass through untouched in every language, such as a product name or a feature name like GoSync
• Custom Translations — the exact wording you want per language, when the machine-preferred term isn't the one your market uses

That distinction matters more than it sounds. A model translating in good faith will happily localize your product name, or pick a synonym for a feature your customers already search for by name — and it will do it slightly differently in each video.

Brand Kit

The Brand Kit covers the visual side of the output: custom fonts and colors for subtitles, saved as presets so styling is brand-consistent across every video you produce.

Set once, applied always

The point of both features is that they are not per-video settings. Every new project follows your saved rules, so you are not re-fixing the same three terms across forty renders or re-picking a subtitle font each time you brief a new market. For agencies, one saved set of rules per client is the difference between localization that scales and localization that needs a reviewer on every asset.

Anything the rules don't cover, you can still fix by hand in the proofreading editor before the video is dubbed.
