How to Edit Your Translation After AI Generation

The generated script sits beside the original, so you can rewrite lines, retime segments, and regenerate. Product names, CTAs, and prices are the lines worth checking every time.

Every translation is editable before you export it. Smart Translation Control puts the generated script next to the original so you can rewrite any line, adjust its timing, and regenerate the audio and lip-sync from your edited version — no re-upload required.

    The edit loop

    1. Review the script side by side — The translated transcript sits against the source, segment by segment, so you can spot drift without scrubbing the video
    2. Rewrite individual lines — Click any segment and edit the text directly
    3. Adjust the timing — If a translated line runs longer than the source, widen the segment or split it so the voice is not forced to rush
    4. Regenerate — Rebuild the audio and lip-sync from your edited script

What is worth reviewing every time

    • Product and brand names — The most common failure is a product name being translated when it should be left alone
    • Calls to action — A literal translation of "Shop now" is rarely the phrase that converts in the target market
    • Prices, offers, and units — Currency, sizing, and shipping claims usually need adapting, not translating
    • Idioms and humour — Hooks built on wordplay often need rewriting from scratch

Casual conversation, product descriptions, and transitional lines are usually fine as generated and rarely repay a line-by-line pass.

    Prevent the edits instead

Most repeat corrections can be eliminated upstream. Define your product names, brand terms, and preferred CTA phrasing in the Custom Glossary and Brand Book before you translate, and the AI applies them on the first pass — across every language and every future video, not just this one. That is the difference between editing one video and never editing that term again.

On Creator Pro and Scale, proofreading adds a review pass on top of the generated script, which is worth turning on for campaigns going live in a language nobody on your team speaks.

    After you regenerate

Watch the re-rendered clip once end to end. Timing edits are the ones most likely to need a second pass, particularly where you have split a long sentence across a cut.
