How to Translate Meta (Facebook) Video Ads with AI

Localize your top three to five ads by ROAS rather than the whole library, then run one ad set per country. Stacking languages into one set costs you per-market reporting.

Take an ad that already converts, translate it with voice cloning and lip-sync, and launch it as a separate ad set targeting the new country. You keep the creative that works and change only the language — which is why localizing beats producing new creative for each market.

Step 1 — Pick markets from your own data

Open Ads Manager and look for countries where you already pick up cheap impressions or stray conversions from broad targeting. Those are markets where the offer lands and only the language is in the way. Media costs outside the US and UK are usually the reason the maths works.

Step 2 — Localize winners, not your library

Start with your top three to five video ads by ROAS. Proven hooks, pacing and emotional beats survive translation; a mediocre ad is still mediocre in German.

    Step 3 — Translate

    1. Upload the video and select target languages, choosing the right accent for each country.
    2. Enable voice cloning so the same presenter speaks every language.
    3. Turn on GoSync lip-sync for any talking-head footage.
    4. Review the script in Smart Translation Control — the hook and CTA above all — and pin brand and product names in your Brand Kit glossary.
    5. Export with animated subtitles for sound-off viewing.

Step 4 — Launch it cleanly

One ad set per language and country, mirroring the targeting of the original campaign. Don't stack languages into a single ad set: you lose per-market reporting, and delivery optimizes toward the cheapest audience rather than the best one. Let each set finish its learning phase before judging ROAS and CPA.

    Don't stop at the video

Primary text, headline, description and the landing page all need localizing. A fluent German voiceover pointing at an English checkout is where most of the gain leaks away.
