Yes. GeckoDub is an EU-based company operating under GDPR, so European data protection is the default framework rather than a bolt-on. Uploads travel over encrypted connections, your content is retained only as long as needed to deliver the service, and you can request deletion at any time.

What happens to your video

• In transit — Files are uploaded over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections
• In processing — Relevant portions of your content are shared with third-party AI providers solely to carry out the translation, voice cloning, and lip-sync work. GeckoDub uses enterprise-grade API connections where, to the best of our ability, your data is not used to train those providers' public foundational models
• In storage — Your content and voice models are used to generate output for your projects, not pooled with other customers' work
• Payments — Handled by Stripe. GeckoDub does not store your card details

Retention and deletion

Content is kept only as long as necessary to provide the service, and you can request deletion at any point by contacting us. Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 90 days of account closure, unless a legal obligation (tax or accounting records, for example) requires keeping it longer.

Your rights

Under GDPR and CCPA you can access, correct, or delete your personal data. Exercise those rights by emailing info@geckodub.com. Because GeckoDub is established in the EU, your content stays inside EU jurisdiction and you avoid the transfer paperwork — standard contractual clauses, adequacy assessments — that using a US-headquartered tool typically drags into your own compliance file.

What to ask any translation vendor

• Where is the data stored, and under whose jurisdiction?
• Is uploaded content used to train models? Your unreleased creative and cloned brand voices should never end up in a public model
• How long is content retained after processing, and can you force deletion?
• Who internally can access raw video files?

If you are an agency

Keep client work in separate projects, delete finished campaigns and voice models you no longer need, and make sure you hold documented consent from anyone whose voice or face you are cloning — that consent requirement sits with you, not the tool.
